Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) NICU

Novant Health Forsyth medical center

Winston-Salem, NC

The registered respiratory therapist serves as an intricate member of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized respiratory plan of care that promotes optimal health or a comforting peaceful death. The registered respiratory therapist utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The ideal candidate accepts responsibility, authority and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Neonatal/pediatric experience preferred
  • Current RCP licensure in appropriate state required
  • BLS healthcare provider required
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • 36 hours per week

Pitt Community College is currently seeking a Respiratory Therapy Instructor

This position is responsible for planning, delivery, and evaluation of classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction and providing those related services and support activities required for optimal student learning and effective educational programming

Minimum Associates Degree from regionally accredited college or university (bachelor’s degree preferred).  Must hold the RRT credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care and current State License issued by the NC Respiratory Care Board.  Minimum of four years of full-time experience as a RRT with at least two years in clinical respiratory care.  Minimum of two years of clinical and/or teaching experience.
